Does it work with my recorder?
Almost certainly. Type the recorder’s login and the connector finds the channels itself — then shows you a photo from every one before a single camera is set up.

What your cameras need
Four things, and most kit already has them.
- Reaches your recorder
- The cameras are already on the same network as the DVR or NVR.
- RTSP switched on
- Standard on every recorder here. Setup tells you if it's off.
- H.264 or H.265
- Anything from the last decade. Older MPEG-only kit won't work.
- Clock roughly right
- So the time on your alert matches the time on your footage.
Where we say no, and why
Bosch, Avigilon, Mobotix, Ubiquiti and Pelco recorders don’t publish a channel address we can verify, so we don’t guess one. A guessed address that comes back “unauthorised” looks exactly like a wrong password — and enough of those will lock you out of your own recorder. Point us at those cameras directly over ONVIF instead, and they work fine.
Anything that speaks RTSP works if you paste the stream link yourself, whatever the badge on the box says.
